From 35mm black and white negative. Also known as 63822. From the Smithsonian's description: "Ceremony and reception for the Resolute desk, on exhibition at the Museum of History and Technology, now known as the National Museum of American History from 1966-1977, with Webb C. Hayes, great-grandson of President Rutherford B. Hayes, Secretary S. Dillon Ripley, and William Howard Taft III, grandson of President William Howard Taft. The desk was made from the timbers of the HMS Resolute and was a gift from Queen Victoria to U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880." |
