Brown paper is widely used for general packing. It's turdy, easy to write on, and nonexpansive. Damp-proofing is made possible with the PE film laminated type.
Brown Paper is available in various thickness and width, with or without PE film lining. Rolls in 500 yards or 1000 yards are always available. Ask for cut-sheets. Several often-used specifications are shown in the attached picture and the following table:
