Peru, officially the Republic of Peru, is a unitary republic in the western portion of South America. Located in the center of the Andes Mountains, the country is bordered by Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil to the east, Bolivia to the southeast, Chile to the south, and the South Pacific Ocean to the west. Its capital is Lima.
