Elizabeth and Philip edit
Hi, I cropped some pictures of the marriage of Elizabeth and Philip from the Dutch National Archives, in a way it can be used in articles. I am not certain how much of an expert you are in the field of English royalty. However, I know that I am not, and since you uploaded those pictures on the royal house, you might be more of an expert than I am. Therefore, if you can add some useful categories to the pictures I have in my uploads-page, it would be much appreciated. Best regards,Jeff5102 (talk) 08:42, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
And what I wonder: why did you revert c:File:Huwelijk Prinses Elisabeth, Bestanddeelnr 902-4694.jpg? It was a picture of a picture, and all that you did was restoring the pointless, ugly borders I removed. It is way less usable for in other projects. So what was your rationale behind it?Jeff5102 (talk) 10:21, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- It's fine, never crop this border unless if this cropped picture could be a separated file. --Frontman830 (talk) 10:37, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- Not as I agreed upon here, in a discussion with the original uploader. After a short discussion, we preferred the usable, correct pictures (without borders) above the original ones (with borders). Thus, I would like to revert your revert. However, if you prefer to use the croptool yourself, and make a separated file out of it, then that is fine with me too, naturally. Regards, Jeff5102 (talk) 11:52, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- Also, I upload this photo [1] published by the Press Association, which now public domain by the anonymous British press photographer. --Frontman830 (talk) 12:16, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- I really like your picture: thank you for uploading it. However, that doesn't remove the ugly borders around the discussed image. I did not upload it, but again, I agreed with the original uploader that it is OK to remove those borders. I wil revert it to the cleaner version. If disagree, and prefer to revert that one again, and make a separated clean file: please tell me, so don't have to take any action about it. Regards,Jeff5102 (talk) 13:14, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- But I recently upload this cropped picture. (File:Huwelijk Prinses Elisabeth, Bestanddeelnr 902-4694 (cropped).jpg) --Frontman830 (talk) 23:47, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
