If the Christian Right want timid housewives that live to satisfy their husbands and crank a herd of children, that is fine for them, but that doesn't mean a.) that is normal in 2024 b.) that people choosing the opposite are not "attacking" them c.) free speech does obligate you to be given a soap box from which to preach your misogyny.
It's amazing that someone is not allowed to have an opinion. You don't have to agree or like it, but shutting down speech is dividing the country even more.
Yeah, amazing ... it's like you either didn't actually watch the video, or you didn't understand it. He's not being criticized for speaking and having an opinion. When you present opinions in public, you should expect people will likewise feel free to share their own. That's all that happened here.
I think the point is that nobody did shut down the speech. He made the speech. He spoke. Freely. And others reacted. Also freely. Freedom all around.
